DEPRESSION
 - Our Adiction to Fantasy Unmasked

Each of us is involved in a unique dynamic with our environment which assists us to grow and evolve. Our consciousness cannot exist in an unbalanced state, and we become emotional when we are splitting the balanced perfection of that moment into positive and negative realities. Both these negative and positive perspectives are cotained within our mind - though we are conscious of only one or the other when in judgement, which then triggers an emotional state and makes us feel unbalanced. 

Emotions are indicators of our state of mind, if you are present and appreciating people, events or experiences realistically for what they are, you will not get elated or depressed and your consciousness will not need to be equilibrated. This balanced state can also be described as the true state of unconditional love that is always present in us, but is clouded by emotion at times. 

In truth we learn and grow through cycles of elation and depression through which we may identify our fantasies and illusions about reality and correct our beliefs. Think back to any time you felt seriously depressed, you were seriously elated just prior to the depression, right?, though you never formed a mental connection between the two experiences. Depression is the opposite equilibrating emotion to elation and we can never experience the one without the other. Elation requires depression of equal magnitude to balance it out (quantitatively and qualitatively) in our consciousness. Depression is always related to the unrealistic expectations of a fantasy illusionary view of reality, and arises as a result of withdrawal from the object of the fantasy - a person, event, experience, etc.

We experience challenging experience in accordance with the ratio of imbalance in our thought, perception & emotion. This challenge may take the form of distracting low priorities, tension, fear, turmoil, humbling circumstances, challenge, trauma or even tragedy. 

Modern studies conducted on depression have produced the estimation that by 2012, depression will be the number one illness in the civilised world. But depression is not an illness, it is a symptom of an underlying imbalance in our beliefs about reality. A sign that we have a fantasy, illusion or nightmare buried in our beliefs. The field of modern medicine also does not understand that depression is only half of an issue, the other half being chasing after elation, either of which must inevitably be balance in our minds, giving rise to the emotional rollercoaster. 

The American Medical Association has stated that it acknowledges that more than 80% of all human ailments, illness and desease are directly related to mental stress.

By acknowledging the emotional state we are in, we naturally progress to the next state up the scale and have more choices available to us as to how we choose to be in that moment. As soon as we realise we have chosen the emotional state we are in, we transcend that state of emotion and are less likely to choose it in future.

BALANCING BREATHING EXERCISE 
A simple breathing technique which has proven effective in calming the body and mind is to breath in with sharp short breaths and out with slow controlled breaths. The reverse - slow in breaths and short sharp out breaths envigorates the body and mind.

The thoughts & emotionals we experience cause physiological changes in the body as well as perceptual changes in the way we 
feel. 
Emotion masks our natural state of being, the state of unconditional love that is ever present at the core of each of us. When we feel emotional we are weighed down and heavy or light and floating away, whether elated or depressed we are negatively affected. We all know depression feels heavy but what about elation? Just stay elated for any lenght of time and see how drained you feel. The body and mind are under stress in emotional states which causes the body to age at an increased rate.

Emotion also affects space and time in our consciousness. Emotion is caused by imbalanced perceptions of reality and is associated with thoughts of past or future as opposed to being in the present. Elation compresses time and expands space in our perception. Depression expands time and cotracts space in our perception. 

When we are centred and focused in the present we are not bound by time and space. We are calm and in a state of certainty that enhances our ability to tune in to inspired thought. The term enlightenment is often used to describe this condition of mind. 
In this balanced state the aging process is minimised and internal stress and tension are removed.

At every new quantum level of consciousness our minds create a duality which we need to collapse in order to move to the next quantum level. Whether your goal is enligtenment or empowerment, this is a most useful effective method of personal evolution
 


BI-POLAR - The Fantasies and Fears Rollercoaster

Bipolar is a term that generally describes having an underlying addiction to one or more fantasy, illusion or one sided view of reality. In reality we all have this balancing emotional dynamic which is a human mechanism for growth, but with bi-polar it is extreme. 

If we allow our perceptual and emotional imbalances in our minds to become extreme, we become totally dominated by this mechanism, our intuition shuts down completely and we are left severely disabled in terms of clear rational thinking, decision making and ability to manage our life.
Over time the brain rewires itself to give precedence to the imbalanced thinking that dominates our mind, which then creates chemical imbalances which are diagnosed as bipolar disorder.
